The
2025 French MotoGP is set to take place in the city in Northwestern France, on the Sarthe River, called Le Mans on 11 May.
What to know about the French MotoGP
This event was established in 1951 and has been held on different circuits in its history, but since 2000, the race has been held at Le Mans on the Bugatti Circuit.
Also known as the Michelin Grand Prix of France, the event is due to take place at the Bugatti Circuit until at least 2031.

The Spanish MotoGP, which was the fifth round on the 2025 MotoGP World Championship calendar, took place on 27 April.
The race was won by Ducati rider Alex Marquez, while Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo finished second and Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati secured the third spot.
Standings
Alex Marquez is placed at the top of the 2025 MotoGP riders' standings after securing his first victory of the season in Spain.
His brother, Marc, and Bagnaia are placed second and third, respectively, as they look to catch Alex in the battle for the 2025 MotoGP world title.
Looking at the constructors' standings, Ducati are placed at the top, having won the first five races this season, followed by Yamaha and KTM respectively.
Favourites
The top three riders, Marc Marquez, Alex Marquez and Bagnaia, will all take centre stage at the 2025 French MotoGP as they look to secure podium spots.
Quartararo, who won the 2021 MotoGP World Championship, will be oozing with confidence after securing his maiden podium of the season at the Spanish MotoGP.

"I am super excited to go to Le Mans for the team's round, it almost feels like it will be a home round for me too, and I am super motivated to do well there," KTM's Maverick Vinales, who finished fourth at the 2025 Spanish MotoGP, said.
"We are arriving in Le Mans with good confidence from Spain after a really positive weekend for us, and a hard day at work during the test, where we could make some steps, which I am looking forward to applying this week in France.
"Le Mans is a track that I enjoy a lot, so let's see how the bike adapts to this track, we will take it step by step as usual, and see how it goes! The atmosphere is always special in France, and it will carry us all weekend for sure!"
